anybody ever use FMOD's to go active?

i am still working out the setup for my truck. i wanna go for more sq in this install. and i want to go active.

how does this sound?

Alpine CDA-9805 is the HU , 1996 Chevy EXT.Cab is the vehicle.

PPI PC250 W/ FMOD Crossover Pair 2,500 Hz High Pass | Parts-Express.com as the crossover , running a pair of these Tang Band 25-1166SJ 1" Neodymium Tweeter | Parts-Express.com in the factory tweeter locations.

PPI PC275 With 90hz high-pass engaged and this FMOD Crossover Pair 2,500 Hz Low Pass | Parts-Express.com to make it a 90hz-2.5khz bandpass running these http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=295-376&scqty=2

MTX Thunder 801D Running 2 of these Dayton TIT280C-4 10" Titanic Mk III Subwoofer 4 Ohm | Parts-Express.com in a custom built sealed box similar to this Custom Dual 10" 88-98 GMC Sierra Extended Cab Subwoofer Box

 
I definatly would not use them.. the crossover frequency is highly dependent on the input impedance of your amplifier, which could easilly vary the crossover frequency by an octave or more..

They might be usefull in some circumstances, but I'd spend a little more money and get an active crossover...
