ok i was told to do 2 cuft sealed and 3.1 cuft ported to 40 hz for my DD3515. i read a little bit about them and it says that playing under the tuned frequency could damage the sub, however if its 40hz almost everything will be under 40hz so should i keep this design or get a different 1?

thats not how it works. 40 might be what the port is tuned to, but your F3 will be way lower. and actually 40 sounds awfully low...

I’m going to stick with the 4th order bandpass for now and see if it can improve it. The bandpass actually plays 100 rebased songs good.

I'd try rear facing. Have you tried opening the trunk to see if that restores your bass?
