Any way to recover from this disaster?

by the looks of it, it is just a fiberglass front and all the other panels are MDF. They are sort of designed like our standard boxes. Just sand it all down, use some body filler to make it look nice, and then re paint it.

BTW, what was the total you paid for that box?

you get what you pay for.

sand it, smooth it out with body filler (Bondo, Rage Gold, or other), sand again, primer, sand, primer, sand primer, paint.

or something like that.

ingleside left out like 7 steps though. after you do what he said do this as follows or it'll turn out the same:

1) sand

2) primer

3) paint

4) open beer

5) drink beer

6) kick dude in nuts for jacking your 30 bucks

7) retake pics and post them so we can all enjoy your new work

8) wait for beer to wear off b/c now you are lazy

10) more bondo

11) sand

12) primer

13) paint

14) take long look at it, notice imperfections

16) repaint, notice imperfections and say fvck it

Barring the chitty finish work. If the enclosure is sturdy he spent his $30 well. I would charge more than $30 to make an unfinished enclosure like his. It would be smoother, but more than $30 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thats the diffeence from a fiberglasser and someone that knows fiberglassing, not everyone has what it takes to do the finish work. Any ******* can mix resin, not everyone has the patience to finish the work.

I would sand it down rebondo it several times till you have it smooth. repaint, or vinyl it. I am not a big fan of carpet on glass.

Easy now, by trade I am a fiberglass fabricator. But I can do finish work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
