what type of features are you looking for? i just bought a clarion DXZ745 from ikesound for $139. it arrived today and i'll hook it up tommorrw. has your general features. what i like about it is it has an internal amp shut off on it. i personally don't care for a lot of features like time alignment and huge EQ's. i also have an external crossover so i don't need that either. depends on what you want your headunit to do. actually i think i'll go install my deck now. nothing like throwing in a deck at 11 at night. i hope my neighbors won't think i'm trying to steal it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

well i just installed my clarion DXZ745 and i already like it better then my pioneer premier 860. the quality seems to be much better imo. this is only with 5 minutes of testing though. i played 2 cd's that are sctratched that my pioneer would never play, but my clarion plays the cd's perfectly. granted it doesn't have all the features the 860 did, but i never used them anyways. back to the point, if you are looking for a solid deck, that's cheap, this clarion looks pretty nice. especially for only $139. i'm really happy with this purchase. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif hope this helps.

I would pick up an Eclipse(5V, low impedance pre outs and they start at $179, authorized).

personally i was thinking about the pioneer DEH-P6700MP. do u think thats a nice choice.

when upgrading a hu, theres better sq right? and what about bass? does it add more.

also, is car stereo online a reliable place to get a hu? i never bought anything from them so i was just wondering

do you have subs? if you do, i would look for a hu with subwoofer-outputs

the pioneer deh-p6700mp is a great choose, it has many features and a nice look

yes, the sq will be better. as for add more bass, i don't know

i do have subs but it really doesnt matter if it has the outpust or not cuz i have one of those line out converters for my stock hu right now. so yea, ill probably go with the pioneer

if you get the deh-p6700mp, don't use your line out converters anymore, use the sub-outputs cuz they will make your subs sound cleaner and louder.

get the clarion DXZ745. i just went from a pioneer 860, which is much better then the 6700, and i love the clarion so much better. it has everything i need, 3 preamp outputs, aux inputs, a simple sub control where i can actually shutoff the crossover, and internal amp bypass, and it has excellent sq. better then my 860. and it only cost $139. i'm just so happy i bought this deck. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
