any suggestions for what to put in a 1980 el camino i just got

i bought a 1980 el camino that runs good but the stereo is stock and doesn't work anymore after the original owner tried to play with the wiring. i'm looking for suggestions of what would go good in it and fit nice. i'm running low on time so i'll post measurements later

i can probably afford to spend around $400 or $500 on it as i sit right now....i know that isn't really much but it doesn't really have to be anything special....i just wanna be able to hear my own music over the people around me who have enough power to drown a normal stereo out completely out

i actually don't know what you're meaning....all i know is the morons at my school feel they have to ruin other people's music by playing theirs so loud it's all that is heard....it is immensely annoying and i wanna be able to ignore them
