any sugestions for some good mids(6")

I have tv's in my car but when i watch a dvd i cant hear the people talking very loud. But when action sceens come on, the souround sound is so **** loud. It is very anoying when I try to hear the people talking then all of the sudden i get my ears bown out from the backgroung noise. Does any one have suggestions on how to get rid of this problem? Oh and i did turn the bass on the subs all the way down, maybe even off.

Sounds like you are lacking a center channel speaker? Either add one to your system or see if there is an option to defeat surround sound on your head unit.

Center channel typically carries the vast majority of dialogue and other such sound information in a 5.1 surround setup.

The movie source comes from a playstation 2 and the head unit doesnt have center channel controll.

What sort of audio interconnect exists between the PS2 and the head unit? Is it fiber optic? If so, you are definitely feeding the head unit a 5.1 signal (at the very least) which is why your 4.1 (FL, FR, RL, RR + SW) setup isn't producing audible vocals until the surround signals kick in.

I have an fm modulator that connects the audio from the ps2 to the head unit. Is that good?
