no springfields or german mausers in that list?I only collect the WW2 rifles.
I have the 8mm Mauser (Russian Capture)
A Jap Type 30 (Vet Bring Back)
and a Italian Carcano ( don't know where the hell it came from, its ww2 though)
Thats the 8mm. The 8mm Mauser. I believe its a 1940. It's in great shape for being a Russian capture. Most of them are beat to hell.no springfields or german mausers in that list?
i have a carcano as well. a funky looking round imo.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

22's are also a good round to use for learning trigger pull(or squeeze), breathing and bolt operations(if its a bolt gun). For just target shooting, look into getting a 22.
They're cheap, fun to shoot, you can get like 550 shots for $18 bucks. But, if you want to do something heavier... I'd say go with 30-06.
i wish i had a pic, but my dad has a german 7.57 mauser made in lowe berlin in 1895. all of the #s are matching except for the stock. all of the writing on the gun is german. he had the bolt cut and turned down and the reciever drilled and taped for scope mounts:crying:. the date is also stamped on the barrel and reciever.Thats the 8mm. The 8mm Mauser. I believe its a 1940. It's in great shape for being a Russian capture. Most of them are beat to hell.
My dad has the WW2 M1 Garand and the WW2 M1 Carbine. I also have a German Walther P38 vet bring back my dad gave to me. It's really nice. It's late war so it still has the machine marks from the machine that produced it. It still has lots of blue.
The most collectible piece from WW2 my Dad had was a German Mauser "Mountain Rifle" It was beat to hell and it had a mismatched bolt (comes to find out all of them do) and it still brought around 1200.
