any reason why this would not work well?? pics!

Im not arguing with you over this, this is simple stuff. If i am wrong and that plug truly can only handle 20 amps at 12 volts than prove it. You even said it...ohms law buddy....its designed for 120 volt and can take 20 amps. 120/12=(10)*20 amps. 200 amps. now explain to me why i am wrong. I like to learn.

Amperage is the measurement of how many electrons are flowing through that certain point. 20 amps at 12 volt has the same amount of electrons passing by as 20 amps at 125. Voltage is better described as the electrical pressure, or potential energy.

You could have a massive pipe of water under extreme pressure with a small pinhole in it. only a small amount of water is going to actually flow through it. That is more like the 125v (high pressure line) and 20 amps (pinhole leak). Then on the other side you could have a pipe that has relatively low pressure, but an open end. a much larger amount of water is able to move out. Thats like the 12v low pressure and 200 amp high flow scenario. you just cant push the high amount of electron flow through a small conductor or pipe.

if you try pushing 200 amps through that 20a connector you are going to fry it.

If you are looking for quick connects for an amps power and ground, use the large 1/0 connectors. for speakers and subs, the electrical plug would work as long as you know your amplifier is not putting out over 20 amps. imo it would be somewhat bulky and probably isn't as well suited as a banana plug or something of the sort.

thanks moe!
WTF guys.......Moe says what I have said in 2 different threads and all of a sudden it is solved?

Everything Moe just said I have stated a thousand times in both threads!

Think of it as water....
Current -Big Pipe/Bigger Wire = Current Flow

Voltage- Water Pressure- it doesnt need a certain size pipe to flow, it only needs a Thicker pipe or more insulation to contain it.

Prolly cuz you tried saying using those plugs were a saftey risk which is stupid
