Yes 20A is 20A when talking about the wires capability at 12v or 125v.when the connectors are rated at 20a would that mean 20a per blade or for all 3 blades combined? each of my 3 amps are fused at 60a so if this were the case, i would need one receptacle for each power run for each amplifier.
and here is a very stupid question.. 20a at 125v IS the same as 20a at 12v correct?

I wouldnt use hospital 3 pronged connectors, the parts express connectors would be better.
Dang it, I can't seem to find those things we had in shop class 22 years ago. I would go with the Parts Express break away connector if I were you! If I find those huge plugs, I will post a link to them.maybe im a bad googler.. can you point me? cant seem to find any with much greater amp ratings.

It depends on the conductive material the blade is made of, but generally when talking about the same materials mass=mass.also just thinking about the actual thickness of the blades on the heavy duty plugs.... they seem to be a much thicker blade/metal than my 300amp fuses that i have on my 1/0 on the boat so wouldnt this simple face mean they can handle at least that much current?
Im not arguing with you over this, this is simple stuff. If i am wrong and that plug truly can only handle 20 amps at 12 volts than prove it. You even said it...ohms law buddy....its designed for 120 volt and can take 20 amps. 120/12=(10)*20 amps. 200 amps. now explain to me why i am wrong. If what your saying is true....everyone would need 4GA speaker wire...
I know your gonna say this is AC VS DC....but.....the only difference in ohms law between the two is Resistance in DC is resistance and in AC it is Impedance.
