Any reason not to go with a pair of US Amps?

Thinking of a Merlin MD2 for my pair of RE HC 12"s at .5 ohm

Also thinking about a MD42 for an active setup with XXX mids and tweets to be decided on later.

Any reasons not to go with these?

I got the MD2D and its a very good amp thus far at .5 on 2 L7s.

I also want the MD42 but got a great deal on some Directed amps.

Also thinkin of gettin another MD2D and running one per sub................ftw

Anyone have an idea how underrated the multi channel amps are?

The XXX mids rms is 200, the md42 is rated at 125 at 2 ohms......I figure its a bit underrated.......

Should be good enough, correct?

I got my Md2 hooked up today and it sounds great. I can't speak for the other amp, but I bet it will be just as good. Go for it!

Went with a 20.1 for the subs over the MD2.

ya those ia 20.1 are exspensive as balls...and balls can get exspensive...
