love my sdx7's, but they're only available in 8 ohm, at least as of 3 months ago.

bob said they would have a 4 ohm version soon... that was like 2 months ago

I would second the recommendation for ID OEMs...great for the money, and can be run as a full midrange if you wanted to, very detailed midrange and exceptional midbass.

Doesn't Rainbow make some excellent 6.5 midbass drivers? Can't remember which line it was, but it was definately up there with the best for that size.

Any of the drivers mentioned will want more airspace than your normal kickpod can provide. All of them would benefit from you cutting into the side of the footwell and allowing them to use the cavity behind it in the fender as an enclosure.
