Before i got a system if i turned the bass all the way up through the HU my stock system would have a lot of bass (for stock) but the rest of music would be all muffled, distorted, and sound like **** when turned up really loud. I have a sub now but still the stock HU. i use a LOC. When i turn the bass all the way up through the radio now the sub gets way louder but the stock speakers bass also gets louder. Which muffles the rest of the sound and sounds like ****. Is there a way i can make it only turn the subwoofer bass up? lol if that made any sense.

if you have a sub don't screw around with the bass knob, it can cause it overheat and thus blow it. don't turn it all the way up. assuming your HU goes like -12dB -> 0dB -> 12dB for the bass knob, keep it at 0dB

Use some bass blockers on your stock speakers. Cheep way to get out. or add an amp to them and use the onboard crossover.

I should add that the bass blockers may only work on the fronts, the ones with the LOC may block to the LOC also.
