Any known problems with a 1994 Honda?

Hi all, My brothers Fiancee's car blew its engine, and they need a CHEAP quick fix. They have found a 1994 Honda Accord with a 2.2 ltr. 4cyl and automatic tranny. Anyone know of any issues with these cars? Thanks!

Its been well maintained, no leaks, 185,000 Highway miles. Timingbelt changed and many other like fuel pumps and sucjh are new. I ask, cause I asked about 99-01 Accords a while back for myself, and Auto Trans were an issue in those cars. Was wondering if the Auto Tranny in the 94's had the same issues.

you should be fine....Accords are great cars (my friend has 190k miles on his 95...still running strong)

I might get a 5th gen Accord hooptie this year

Why is it when a vehicle is advertised with high mileage it is always "highway miles". Just once I would like to see it as "213k hard driven and occasionally abused miles". I believe it may be a little closer to reality.

i have a 94 with a 5speed, and the speedo doesnt work half the time , the other half its off saying im doing 120 when im doing 50, the lights in the dash work when they want too.., the cruse control doesnt work for some reason, the alt tensioner wont keep tight so i have to keep tighting it up, other than that its a nice car for what i gave.... $300 over a year ago..lol

Yea thats a little much, for that but Im sure that someone will pay it, if you dont!...But hey Hondas are great and I am sure you will NOT be disappointed, not to mention that if something fvcks up the parts are extremely cheap...I say you offer between 1200 and 1300 cash....no more then that.
