any know about alarms - valet switch built in antenna and LED.

I got a Viper5901, im gettin it installed on Wednesday.

I noticed there is a valet switch, a LED and tha alarms antenna all built in together....heres a pic

um...ur supposed to mount it at tha top of your windshield.

What exactly does that valet switch do? I read in a security thread on here that u supposed to hide ur valet.

Wouldnt u be able to push that button and disable tha whole alarm...and wouldnt that defeat tha whole purpose of tha alarm in tha first place since it has to be mounted at tha top of tha windshield...wtf?

If this is tha case what other options do I have? can u get a seperate switch and LED or do u got to use that one.

I think you're confusing valet switch with valet key. The valet switch on the antenna is there so you can turn off your alarm temporarily. To activate the valet switch, you have to have the key in the ignition, so you can't disable it unless you have the key in the ignition.
