Dude the guy already has a W6v2, one of the best subs out there IMO. Just get another and don't even worry about it.

I think the reason you're getting alot of recommendations to go outside JL is that you asked about pricing...... and as previously stated, JL and bargain dont go together. They're top-notch products at top-shelf prices. I've loved every JL product I've used, but when I decided to upgrade and checked the prices on w7's, I decided that even if they do rock, they just cost too **** much for a poor college student. To clarify what I'm saying... I'll compare buying your beer at a liquor store vs going to a bar: while a cold draft beer is heaven (JL), a case is a better value (internet brands)- the beer will still be tasty, and you get more of it for the same price.

what it comes down to is whether you truly care about the warranty. like said, a w6v2 could be had online for $250-$300.

good analogy. jl is great but teh prices arent. jus like teh guy posted above internet brands r cheaper wiht **** near teh same qaulity. I had and RE XXX(reaudio.com) and my firend had a w7, his sqwas a bit better at higher volumes. but mine was quite a bit louder dont remember waht each metered but mine beat him by aobut 7 db's. and for teh 250 less i payed for my 12" it was more than worth the cost. to see him get mad when mine was louder.

You can not find a JL product on line that comes with a manufacturer warranty. Won't happen, because JL doesn't allow it.
