Any Iguana Owners Here?

I used to have a few different reptiles, and yes those monitors are mean sum bi*ches, hissing and all that.It got to the size where i had to feed it full grown rats and i tell you man, watching that thing got pretty disturbing,so i got rid of it,but i used to have sorts of sh*t like that,a couple breeds of tarantuals, scorpions, all sorts of lizards and snakes and few different salt/fresh tanks aswell, but i lost em all when my place caught a blaze bout 2 years back.btw, nice lookin lizard ya got, just try to handle him as much as possible.also when hes/she gets bigger watch for that tail hahahaha
i used to feed mine hot dogs lol

i have a bearded dragon, he's about 8 yrs old...he doesnt really do much, though i cant blame him..

Have him in a huge tank..dont no how many gallons but its about 2'H x 5'w.. started off useing carpet for the longest time but recently changed to sand..i think he likes it better..

as for feeding him he is still happy with jumbo mealworms and large crickets..i've had problems in the past with them escaping out of there containers and or the aquarium..so i've fixed that for the most part.

i'll post a pic when i get home

i told you these monitors are vicious..you gotta tame them right

http://www.repticzone.com/photogallery/viewphoto.php/16272/Basilisks/Lizards/ these are basilisks this here would be i would say about a 15 moth or so male the older they get the bigger the sails on their heads and back gets and when they are little (babies) they can run ontop of the water on 2 legs they also call them jesus lizards because of that. outside of a nile monitor (as long as it stays black lol) these are my favorite to look at niles get huge 6-8 foot and are worse tempered than savanahs. another good looking adult male is a water dragon (at full grown only slightly smaller than most captive iguanas but if provoked they bite (they have sharp teeth) and still tail whip you and its sharp (i had both a nile and a water dragon) the nile though could actually do some real harm to you but its tail whips bruised you only. just make sure you handl you iguana some other wise you will be stuck with a very onry lizard that will smack you just for being in his territory lol

so your saying that these basilisks can swim in freshwater or somethin? i was thinkin about getting a lizard but have the tank halfway filled with water and then in a steep hilltop is land... somethin like that..

i think its cool seeing a lizard swim in waterr...woooooooooooooow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

arent iguanas worth alot of money when they get big? my friend has a savannah its getting big and ****s little mouses up, but hes pretty tame unless you try to pick him up after he ate. hes about a foot long. my friend says hes gonna be worht moeny when he gets big i think hes full of poopie, but is he right?

yup but its not like he wont have spent 4 times that amount feeding the lizard lol. adults that are healthy tend to life longer stay healthier/recover better from sickness than babies or juvies. depending on species a big lizard can go for 300-4000 bucks. the adult monitor tht was 4 grand was some type that looked like a mangrove monitor but was 5 ft long and is dosil compaired to niles or savanahs. just depends i only got 450 with the cage for my nile lol.

how did u sell yours? hmm it would be pretty hard finding a buyer for these animals. it would be great to buy them when they are small..and raise em till they get big and sell em to get some good money. Its like some kind of animal investment. the monitors here cost like 20 bucks for each.
