ya i played hockey for 12 years until sophmore year in high school. looking to get back into it with a mens league. was a defenseman i loved it. i was the goon but hell i can skate very well. played one season with the junior blues. i love hockey i want to play again alot

Nice stuff man...what are you playing in with that though? Just like men's league? I think all my old highschool gear is still in my bag somewhere at my Mom's house. I'm still using my same skates from when I was 17...Bauer 2000's baby! They were the top of the line back then.....I remember that's all my parents could afford to buy me for Christmas one year - new skates, that's it.
Hockey is definately an expensive sport to play, especially for goalies!!! Holy christ is the gear expensive these days. My buddy coaches Bantams and all the kids on the team have to have the new composite, one piece sticks now that Easton and others are making that cost like $150!!! I was like ****.....I never paid over like $25 for a good ole Christian or Sherwood back in the day!! also cant forget about the old school sherwood wood sticks with the paul coofey bend. you can really get some puck rising on a slap shot with one of those

Yeah, now it's just a men's roller league, 18+. It's pretty competitive, and my team sucks. There are 3 divisions, we are in the A division, and we are a B division team. A few of the teams in our division are travel teams (we just lost 8-4 to the Mission Snipers).

I used to play travel roller and ice back in the day. Played ice for about 8 years and roller for about 14. Just started playing rolller last year after no hockey for about 3 years.

The new one piece sticks are mighty nice, but I'm like you - we used to get cases of sticks for the price of one new one piece!

Ya Goalie equip is insane.. my parents were **** happy I played center. I miss me some hockey, going to start up in the mens leagues next winter.

ya I have some tacks I used to wear.. I love those skates.

oh and not that it makes me cooler, but for those really into hockey, last year I watched my buddy open ice Jonathan Toews, he injured him for a couple games.

ya im talking about the old school bauers before the buy out. but i have to say i have mission shin gaurds and chest protector and there the most comfortable equipment ever. also have these old old old school jofa elbow protectors and there like platic with a metal instert and i tell ya what you hit some punk with a good elbow it sets them down lawl.
