Any builders know???

Im redoing my sub box in my 04neon SXT. I need to get louder hit 142.7db on a termlab at last event. Right now my box is around 3.0cub ft for 2 12"with a port that is 67.5" square. It is tuned to 49hz. My enclosure is 32wX15hX20D. Is this the biggest size that can go in the neon pre built. Im starting to build a new one this weekend and tune it to 41hz so that should help some but i need to have more cub ft. for my subs. 3.0^3' is a pretty good start. bigger hasnt proved better in my experience.

dont bend the port, as in dont make it an L shape

pre-cut a 45 degree angle for the angle behind the port, do a run w/o it..then do a run with it...

getting on a meter and trying things is going to be the only resource for accurate info...theres all kinds of little stuff like seat postition, box placement, etc that yield good results.

If your competing legal try having people sit on the top of your windshield

To make the enclosure tuned to 41hz with only 20" of depth id have to make an L shaped port, have done 45 degree cuts, and know all the positioning spots for getting metered. This is my problem I have dual 1ohm subs in series to make 2ohms to each amp, the sub is recomended to be in 2.4 cub ft a piece. Id hate to go and buy some new equipment, I need to get more cub ft in the trunk but i have to take out the back seats and slide it in threw there. Need to know the biggest dimensions that would be able to fit.

that tuning is too low for your neon, you probably peak a bit higher than 50ish hz lol. id say your current tuning is a good starting point.

build it to your max dimensions listed, and tune around 50. give it ~60 sq in of port, and you should be somewhere around 2 cubes per sub.
