Any bowlers in here? Time to get some new equiptment...

whenever i go out with friends, i usually end up bowling descently well from back by the ball return, hooking it between my legs, stepping off with my opposite foot(try that, sounds simple but is insanely awkward), and other stupid stuff like that

oh yeah, alcohol is usually involved (thats when i put my good ball up and play with a house ball)

yea drunken trick bowling with a $150 ball thats gonna get cut up is never good

storm hy-road and reign are good balls, also that new ebonite mission is a good ball as well, all depends on what kind of condition you bowl on and how you have it drilled.

yea .. but the technology has changed so much with them I dont know whats good or not anymore

i work at a bowling alley.
im the guy in the back fixing the machines when they break.

true story.
guy I know does that.. Well He owns the alley, so its a little bit of everything.. Never once have I seen behind the lanes.. Anything exciting?

Ehh..

I get paid 9 bucks an hour to sit back there and wait for shit to break.

Our machines are ~30yrs old.

I worked a 10hr shift tonight, and had 2 calls all night, both pin jams which took a whopping 30 seconds to correct.

So no, my shifts are long and boring. I usually practice welding when Im back there, or sit on my laptop and hog the wifi.

jesus dude.. Why even waste the money to pay you.. no offense

Currently in my bag:

Rotogrip Cell Pearl (Dull), Rogue Cell (Shined up) , Brunswick C-system 2.5 (Box finish), Brunswick C-system 3.5 (box finish)

Since youve seen already everyone throws different stuff. there really isnt 1 ball thats good for everyone, every house, every condition. Talk to your pro shop guy, have him watch you and see what he suggests. Thats your best bet.

Most popular among most people i know current are the C-systems, Ebonite Mission (everyone loves it) and anything from Roto Grip and Storm (which are the same companies)

Yea the guy I was talking about it above was actually my coach , and has seen me throw up until I quit.. i think the mission is in my OP as one of the 3 , but I just need to get there with the ball I have now ( Black Ice Zone ) and throw a game so he can figure it out, then go from there and figure out where my revs are and where we should drill at

Because some nights we have 3 pages of calls. And of those 3 pages 80% will be stupid shit, the other times, pulleys break, machines dropping pins, ball return calls(belt is slipping), planks will sometimes break(the thing that the ball hits), welds on the plank arm will break and requires swapping the old plank over into a new frame(45min job if rushing).

And 9 outta 10 times we are on a wait when the machine breaks, so it 110% has to be fixed ASAP.
