Any amp i install in my car gets hot quick?

Ive been doing some testing here since some equipment is being changed around, and ive noticed something weird. Any sub amp i put in my car will get really hot after a period of 15 minutes at close to full volume, its just started happening recently and its puzzling me. Heres what i have right now.

Wiring - RF 2gauge from front to back, 2 batts up front, stock 63 or 80 amp alt. 2 gauge grounds straight to frame from alt bracket and both batts up front. 2 Gauge grounds from trunk floor directly to car frame under car. Amp is grounded with 2 gauge ofcourse. Getting 14.6v to the amp with no major drops.

Right now im running an M500 temp until my sundown 1500s get here. It will do the same thing my m1000 used to do (which i believe caused it to blow) if i play it hard for more than like 15 mins, which is drop half in output (alpines heat protection thing) when it overheats. Gains are set by ear, a little below nominal, HU preout is 4v, no bass boost on HU or amp either. Also another thing i noticed is that the left side rca is the only one with any output? Not sure if thats normal just thought it was worth noting.

Is it possible im clipping and just dont know it? i didnt set the gains with my dmm just by ear, but everything sounds fine to me and the subs arent getting hot or smelly so theyre doing fine. It will do it no matter what type of music is playing also. Can be some jeezy or country music or something, it still happens. The amp is also mounted with plenty of ventilation as well, and isnt grounded to chassis (mounted on mdf) Im really puzzled on this and want to get it figured out before installing anything else in the car. Help? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Ohm load is 2 ohms, and i set the gain with my dmm on my m1000 which burned up. The gain ended up being higher than it is now when set with dmm, so i dont think thats the issue. I set it lower to be safe and have the same problem. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

My vote is for ground issue.

Thats what it seems to me too, the only possible explanation, but all my grounds are tight. ive seen cars with bad grounds where the wire or terminal will melt, but my ground doesnt get hot at all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Is it possible there could be a problem with one of my batts even though the float and idle voltage reads good and doesnt drop? Ive been meaning to disconnect them and check the voltage seperate

throw a boxfan in the trunk, and let it blow on it on HIGH.. med is basically the same thing as low on the box style fans, and low is dissappointing output at best

hes trying to figure out why they get hot, not trying to cool them down once they are hot.

it was a joke man, everyone already mentioned my ideas.. nothing more to add other than something utterly ignorant and comical
ok, around here it seemed like a logical answer someone would give haha. you just went into so much detail on speed it sounded like you really gave it some thought.

Grounds are good, like i said its grounded with 2awg, bare metal, plus 2 runs of 2awg from the sheetmetal its grounded on, to the frame of the car. I have 2awg grounds up front from frame to all my batts, and directly to alt. Voltage isnt an issue here, neither is ohm load, and i doubt im clipping. Im puzzled
