any amp experts can explain what these mean?

i have an amp with no manual (performance teknique icbm 779). surely not great, but it's what i have right now.

can anyone give me a rundown on what these amp settings listed below do? or point me to a reference where i can learn about each?

the amp has the following settings, can anyone explain these and recommend settings?

i am using the amp to run two 10 inch 4ohm DVC subwoofers.

Input Select switch: [Low Level / High Level]

Bass EQ dial: 0 - 18db

HPF dial: 50Hz - 1KHz

XOver switch: [HPF / Full / LPF]

LPF dial: 30 - 500Hz

Subsonic dial: 10Hz - 100Hz

Level dial: 6V - 0.2V

i've tried researching, but really all i find is how to "set the gain", but this amp doesn't have anything marked "gain", so i'm pretty lost.

will be a couple more days til i have my enclosures installed, so not quite ready to play around, but i'd really like to learn about this stuff.

gain is the level dial on your amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Input Select switch: [Low Level / High Level] signal inputs, high = speaker level, low= RCA

Bass EQ dial: 0 - 18db Bass Boost, usually at 45hz

HPF dial: 50Hz - 1KHz X over for tweeters or components

XOver switch: [HPF / Full / LPF] X over selector, high pass/full range/low pass. low pass is for subs

LPF dial: 30 - 500Hz X over for subs. set it around 80

Subsonic dial: 10Hz - 100Hz X over for low lows to subs, set it around 20

Level dial: 6V - 0.2V gain

.

Input Select switch: [Low Level / High Level] (i think these are the rcas)

Bass EQ dial: 0 - 18db (bass eq, only use it if the bass is seriously lacking)

HPF dial: 50Hz - 1KHz (dont worry about that one dont use it on the sub)

XOver switch: [HPF / Full / LPF] (low pass for subwoofer use)

LPF dial: 30 - 500Hz (usually set anywhere from 100-200hz)

Subsonic dial: 10Hz - 100Hz (if your using a ported box use this to protect the sub from over excursion)

Level dial: 6V - 0.2V (gain)
