I smoked everyday for years. I will have been sober for two years tomorrow. It is a gateway drug but so is alcohol either legalize all or none. Alcohol is no worse than marijuana. One is socially acceptable one is not that is the only difference between marijuana and alcohol. Remember they made alcohol illegal but it didn't work because it was ingrained in society, unlike marijuana at the time it was made illegal or everyone was too lazy/stoned to do anything about it. The government could make a lot on this but I think this is a state's issue and the federal government should let each individual state decide what substances are legal and illegal.

I am all for legalization. Problem is there is no test currently available to tell if a person is high now or got high last night after work. What a person does in their own home should be their business.

There is no way I would want to work with somebody on the RR while they were high with all the large equipment we work around. However if they want to go home after work and fire up a fatty and chill, that is their business.

Think about it this way.... Would you want your doctor to perform surgery on you after just getting ripped?

i wish they would legalize the herb, i'd be the first to exploit the pot heads. I'd open up a 24/7 all you can eat buffet's near every seller, $30 a person. I'd be a millionaire in no time.

I agree, if they treated it the same way as alcohol (can't drive stoned, can't come into work stoned, etc) it would be fine.
