antenna issues

i got a 97 Taurus and a few weeks ago i installed an alpine cda 9856. ever since the fm radio has not worked. it did work with the stock radio and with the sony i had in it. and yes i made sure all the wires are connected. any suggestions?

is the stock antenna wire plugged in to the radio all the way?

also did you use a ford antenna adapter?

and on your car the factory amp/antenna is in the trunk on the driver side.

my problem isn't exactly like yours, but when I installed my 9856 I got and still get horrible reception, while i got good reception with my previous HU. Maybe it's the unit itself?

just make sure its plugged in all the way
