Antenna Amplifier???

Ever since I took out the stock head unit to my car the radio is shitty, my Maxima has one of those internal antennas and it sux now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif . I was told I needed an antenna amplifier. Check this link out and tell me if this is what i need:

Get a real antenna if you care about radio reception...I've never had a good experience with cheap external preamps. Introduces too much noise into the signal, and doesn't really increase the S/N ratio - just increases the noise along with the signal and has the potential to overload the receiver's front end and cause "intermodulation" distortion and hearing the same station at several places at once.
