Also has the same thd specs for the 1500. Which makes no sense because the 3000 is just 2 1500s internally strapped so by nature the thd level should be around double the rating of a single 1500.

 
Pretty sure they both do rated into 1% or .1% or something like that...Not terribly high at all!
What is their damping factor? I've always heard that you'd get rated out of a hifonics, but if you wanted your subs to last for years you'd spend money on something better.

You heard wrong. The BXI1608 and 1610D's that the bench tests where done on did 800wrms@1 ohm clipped, no where near the 1600@1 they were rated for.

I think you will be just fine to be honest. Id run it and check it after hammering on it quite a bit and check the temp on the wire by hand to see...
