Okay, so I'm trying to figure out what subs I should go with. Within my budget, I've pretty much narrowed my choices down. There's a guy locally selling two JL 10w3v3 subs in a ported enclosure (I'm not sure about the specs, but the box looks beefy), or two RE SE 12s. I have a JL 500/1 amp that I picked up for crackhead pricing... which I'll be using to power the new subs. No, I'm not some JL fanboi, I think they're overpriced and overhyped, but they fit my budget and will satisfy my bass needs. The SEs will be run sealed on 1.5 cubes each.

So... what's CA.com's opinion?

I'd go for the REs and do a ported box instead of sealed if that is a possibility. That would definitely be the loudest option. I've never heard the SEs in person, but I can tell you that the w3v3s have pretty good SQ.

Two twelves ported isn't an option. This sealed box takes up just about all the space I have in the trunk.

I don't need to beat down the block, really. I just want something that will get loud enough to match my components and REVs.
