Not all of us think that way...

and sadly even though the mass killings are horrible, they are only a small percentage of the murders that do happen in this country. the vast majority of them take place in densely populated areas. Having as much or more experience about the US than most of the people that live here, you should already know that you should also know that the vast majority of those shootings are done with illegally attained weapons (as are a lot of the mass shootings). and to say that CCW laws do nothing to save peoples lives and prevent robberies and murders is simply false.

I've personally been in the situation where having my CCW ended what could have been a fatal situation for me, i had a punk kid pull a knife on me at a gas station, I had never seen the kid before and had done nothing that could have even remotely pissed anyone off. If i hadn't been carrying that day i very well may not have been typing this right now. And in my case it wasnt a gun that was being used by the aggressor, just more proof that guns arnt the issue, people are.

I would say that. Unless said country is directly targeting us with a threat that actually exists then we should stay the hell out of shit. We are busy monitoring other places and getting involved in other countries affairs that we have no right or need to be in. Meanwhile here in the states where our tax dollars are coming up short of paying for this massive "security" budget (partially do to the fact that 49% of this country lives in households that pay no federal income tax and receive direct government aid) that we have managed to go in debt so far that we will never be able to dig our way out of it.

I agree 100%. However where do illegal guns come from? They have to start out by being sold legally somewhere.

in some cases they do, they are often stolen from people who had them legally, but pulling the legal guns at this point would be a horrible idea, the massive black market for weapons is something with large enough stockpiles that it could easily be sustained for quite a while. Not to mention getting them from other countries (granted many of those were given to those countries by our own wonderful government when we had our nose where it didnt belong.

There are a lot of problems in this country, and taking any guns out of the hands of people who own them legally will not solve any of them. If the government ever did try to take guns away, they would have to go home to home seizing them, you and i both know that will be the beginning of a war.

A lot of it started with the gun "buy back" programs. The ones you would see on the news with long lines of people handing over guns worth $100's for a mere $60 or less. Some programs don't even compensate you with $$ but people still hand over their arms!

It reminds me of when they made owning gold coins "illegal" and everyone felt compelled to hand over their gold (1933- 1974).

Well guess what? Its now illegal again under the Obamacare program! The official law is in section 9006 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Very few people have read all 10,909 sections of that bill and even fewer understand the ramifications of section 9006 on gold.

The healthcare bill has nothing to do with gold, which is exactly why Congress hid this law there.

They certainly weren't going to put out a press release when they're taking away the rights of private citizens.

If you scare people enough into thinking guns are "evil" and people should WANT to give up their arms, they will gladly turn them in. Remember, this is not your typical government. We have been working on psychological warfare since at least WW2. I will take it one step further. Do you think the events we see on TV and problems our nation faces are "natural" and "random"? Start researching covert operations and programs. Here are some names to look into: Monarch, BlueBeam, Artichoke, Paperclip, etc.etc.

There is a reason we are bombarded with mindless garbage on TV and media, and then we are sprinkled with horrible events that will shock us into action. The wrong actions, since a lot of people are dumbed down by pharmaceutical drugs, a poor education, or simply psychological warfare that has made them have no rational thinking or understanding of the world around them. I work on computers for a living and sadly, I can see that they are winning. Most of my customers have no clue what they are doing or how technology works, but they eat it up, and gladly give away all of their privacy and rights.

Agreed 100%. the amount of power that has been given to the word 'terrorist' since 9/11 is insane. You have that word associated with you in ANY way and you could very well end up dead or indefinitely detained with no trial or even being told why you were taken. It is amazing how simply opposing the government is now considered a threat to the country... I was unaware that the government defined a country and not it's citizens.

Very well said, we have been involved in a massive attempt to make us stupid and to take away our ability to think critically and think for ourselves.

A couple more things to look into would be HAARP weather control, chemtrails, and flouride being forced into ALL main water supplies by private organizations.

Also the fact that all main stream media is owned by some of the most corrupt and evil private organizations on earth. Back when the printing press was the big thing and news papers were all we had, the Rothchild family (or a different name, but same group of fuckers) went ahead and bought up every news company and they literally control the news. Lots of speculation about this in the past about them getting the US citizens to back many wars and chosen officials by simply lying to an entire population.

As well as the Federal Reserve and several other "government" organizations being privately owned companies.
