Another shooting..

Typical arrogant Canadian trying to talk about America like they're have a PHD in American History/Economics or some **** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

First off, Los Angeles metropolitan area ALONE is about half of Canada's entire population. I wonder who's going to have more gangs and violence in their country?

Oh yeah and if America collapses so does your miserable little country. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It is funny how people can find how it didn't work in some countries, but fail to see how well it works in other countries. I don't believe in banning all firearms either. But they should be harder to obtain, and better safeguards on storage in the home.
Look at the intentional homicide charts. How are all these other countries achieving great numbers? Allowing people to think for themselves in the US has led them to outsource all the work. Now no one is a "slave" at a job. But the country is slowly becoming fully unemployed.

If you removed all the military jobs, or jobs related to war, weapons, etc.....how many people would actually be employed?

People used to think in the US and they invented great things. That just doesn't happen anymore. Now with idle hands and minds, they have to think up ways to become famous......violence gets attention, even if it is negative.
True it does work in some countries, but I do not believe that the U.S. is one of those countries. yes we have violent people and illegal guns and gangs and shit, but they are not going to follow any new laws (just as they don't follow any of the laws in place now) and they are not going to just stop hurting and killing people because you make it harder for law abiding citizens to obtain weapons.

I agree with pretty much everything else you said though, our country has turned into a bunch of people who have no value of selfworth and who would rather sit around and collect government aid than to get off their fucking asses and work. It is truly sad.

Yea the media plastering these fucker's faces and names up everywhere and almost boasting the body count they pile up makes them out to be a hero for other sick people out there.

Maybe you should take your butt back to school as well. Canada is in a much better fiscal position than the US. We export and import from many different countries. We do something called diversification. We make products, we sell products, we buy products. Something the US used to do. When the US collapses, Canada will be there to buy up what is left of it. As I recall right.....with the housing crash the US is experiencing, Canadians are buying property down there like candy because it is so cheap.

And on a per capita basis population size makes no difference.

Also the word you are looking for is ignorance, not arrogance. And yes, Canadians learn more about world history than any other educational system because we are the most multi culturally diverse nation in the world.

And right to carry does not affect gun violence. As of 2011 37 states have it, and 4 states have unrestricted. Since 1998, the number of states going from might to shall rose tremendously, because people seem to think the more guns there are, the more of a deterrent there is.

Personally I think education, and identifying mental health issues are more of a priority than people being able to tote a gun around. The US is slowly regressing back to the old west. Gunslingers in the streets.

thanks for the laugh, I desperately needed that

Well if you and the rest of the US don't get your **** together....you too will soon be a 3rd world country, and then maybe you won't have so many shootings.
Illegal guns and unregistered guns you say......hmmm, guess where they originate. In the US.

You whine in the US about paying taxes, but yet Canadians have the best paid police and some of the lowest crime rates. Must mean they are doing their jobs, and getting well paid for it with tax dollars. Probably why there is less gangs here.

Face it....the US is in a downward spiral with the economy, education, and jobs. The reason the world went into a global recession was because of the US. If the US does not do something different, they will become a 3rd world country.

There is a saying.....If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.

And times change, laws and people need to change with it. The constitution was written in 1787....225 years ago. Guess what....a lot has changed since then. The US needs to let go of yesterday and embrace tomorrow. Living in the past is going to keep you there.
also, this. Thanks again

sooooo true, this is what all of the republicans want, its such a fucked up mentality

He won the race last time.....
Sir, you are a retard. You are not from the USA and have no business trying to tell us what its like to live here. If you believe the media, they will make it seem like we have gangs running wild in the streets and shootings everywhere. We don't. Every major city has its "crime" areas, and we keep the criminals in those areas, government subsidized housing. Its called the "projects" to most of us. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Your country is far from perfect and I highly doubt many people from the US want to have our country turn into Canada... Now fuck off.

Has anyone else studied Babylon? Now hear me out. Both ancient Greece and Babylon put their faith in political power. Ever heard of the Tower of Babel? Their super-power became a 3rd world country when their civilizations fell.

Everyone needs to pay attention to history and find out why our Constitution was written the way it was. It should not be deviated from. Making laws that circumvent the amendments are just new amendments that make the old ones null and void. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif It was designed and written by people who were correcting the mistakes their countries had made in operation. They founded our country on these new principles. It was written by many people who are a lot smarter than the combined group of idiots on this very forum.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You just said it yourself, there are more important things than the gun issue (yes that does work both ways) this country needs a complete rethink of the way it handles situations. for that matter it needs a complete rethink on many things, but pulling guns out of the peoples hands that are under a government that has proven it cant control itself when it gets an advantage is not going to be the answer, and i know you believe that only full auto weapons should be the ones removed, but with past bills (obama care was one of them) there have been many things slipped in, in the fine print that cause more damage than good to the majority of people and those things are passed along with the rest.

At the end of the day though, its not a gun issue, it is a people issue.
