We have over 250,000,000 more citizens in our country and an endless more amount of guns than Canada please tell me how that number wouldn't be higher dumb ass. You don't live here so how about you politely fuck off.

I understand perfectly what per capita means it's you not understanding how different things are when there is such a bigger population that things change.

Hmmm one is communist and the other is 3rd world so please explain how the gun statistics in those countries would begin to come into play. Your country doesn't have the gang violence and near the amount of illegal or unregistered guns floating around that were probably a huge percent of your statistic of 9000 and absolutely no kind of gun control would have any authority over them, so YOUR theory sucks and ill ask you again to kindly fuck off if you don't live in America.

So you're suggesting martial law or a police state is the best answer? I'm all for some form of gun registration and knowing who has guns and checking them out. But the Fed has proved time and time again that once you let them in they take over. This problem has been decades coming. With ignorant citizens asking and trusting the Gov to protect them. It is absolutely asinine to think they can keep you safe. All the police do is report and investigate crimes AFTER they are over.

It's not really fair to compare any country to another country, especially America. We were founded on the ideals that we wanted to govern and protect ourselves and what was ours from criminals and those wishing to do us harm. Over the decades the 'pussification' of America has given the people a false sense of security. The police can't protect you, that's a fact. Learn to protect yourselves and the ones you love.

Illegal guns and unregistered guns you say......hmmm, guess where they originate. In the US.

You whine in the US about paying taxes, but yet Canadians have the best paid police and some of the lowest crime rates. Must mean they are doing their jobs, and getting well paid for it with tax dollars. Probably why there is less gangs here.

Face it....the US is in a downward spiral with the economy, education, and jobs. The reason the world went into a global recession was because of the US. If the US does not do something different, they will become a 3rd world country.

There is a saying.....If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.

And times change, laws and people need to change with it. The constitution was written in 1787....225 years ago. Guess what....a lot has changed since then. The US needs to let go of yesterday and embrace tomorrow. Living in the past is going to keep you there.

Yes the US needs tons and tons of change to get it self back on course, which I doubt will likely happen. But human and fundamental rights should not be taken away to achieve some sort of "ideal paradise." Being raised in a country that encourages you to think for yourself and allow your mind to grow and think outside the box of government and societal control has it's draw backs, the crazies come out of the wood work because they are allowed to think for themselves too, unfortunately.

When the constitution was written, the founding fathers suggested and damn-neared demanded that every family own a musket and have at least 25 rounds of ammunition (the musket at the time was the must deadly and commonly used weapon by any military, and they knew that the people needed that same level of power). The constitution was also written with very broad terms so that it would cover everyone. You obviously lack the ability to grasp the idea of being truly free and not being dependent on and a slave to an overly powerful government. It's ok though, many Americans have also lost sight of what it really means to be an American and free as well.

I am not against having all weapons registered and weapons purchases being more detailed and conclusive about the person who is buying the gun, but I am truly fearful that once the majority allows any form of gun control, the Fed will just pick it up and run with it.

It is funny how people can find how it didn't work in some countries, but fail to see how well it works in other countries. I don't believe in banning all firearms either. But they should be harder to obtain, and better safeguards on storage in the home.

Look at the intentional homicide charts. How are all these other countries achieving great numbers? Allowing people to think for themselves in the US has led them to outsource all the work. Now no one is a "slave" at a job. But the country is slowly becoming fully unemployed.

If you removed all the military jobs, or jobs related to war, weapons, etc.....how many people would actually be employed?

People used to think in the US and they invented great things. That just doesn't happen anymore. Now with idle hands and minds, they have to think up ways to become famous......violence gets attention, even if it is negative.

we are far from the vision of free that the founding fathers had in mind or laid out for this country. its really a shame what it has turned into. and removing our right to weapons is only the beginning of ending what freedom we do have.

The fact that 49% of the us population lives in homes that do not pay income taxes and receive direct government help.

1/3 of all the guns in the world are privately owned guns in the US. School shoots have been going on in the US since 1930. It used to be local news now the mass media exploits it for its liberal agenda.

China has its own problems with violence. Recently somebody went in a school and hacked people up with sword. Japan it was knifes. People are going to hurt people. It is human nature, and they do it with the the most proficient availible way possible.
