It definitely would've been great IF there was someone who was armed, trained, and able to handle a situation like that was present, of course. I'm calling bs on all these average joe schmoes saying they would've done this and that if they were present and armed when it happened.

I'm just being realistic. Under those circumstances with people running around all over, tear gas, and your own emotional response to the situation, most people wouldn't know what to do even if they were armed

when someone knows that there could be a weapon pointed back at them they are much more hesitant to pull their own out.

I don't know if I would have fired or not depends if there was a clear unobstructed view with no on behind him then yes, if it was what I imagined it would be you would almost have to be willing to die as well because you would need to rush the attacker and potentially be shot! I carry my firearm daily for self preservation I would use it to stop a crime in which someone where being harmed if the situation could only be bettered by my actions, if not that's what the police are for.

And for you ammo nuts if your firearm can take it look into the remington golden sabers +p+ and winchester pdx-1's I always carry a mag of both one for maximum penetration thru doors or walls and one for massive impact and little over penetration.

You know, you can take tactical courses,in which teach you how to use your gun,and the ability to maintain control,as well as hitting targets,under stressful situations.I myself always sit next to any and all entrances,glass windows for exiting, and always view those in front of me.Thats anywhere I go.Anyone remember that Great White indoor concert,that a fire killed several people?Those people died from over crowding.Anything can happen,regardless of the situation.But it sure doesnt hurt to try to prepare for the worst,does it?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Another crazy idiot with guns, tear gas, and bombs kills 15, and injures 40 last night at an Aurora Theater that was showing the new Batman Movie.
Full combat gear and everything. This **** needs to stop. OUTLAW GUNS!!!!!!

And second, my bullets will go through a vest. (Armor piercing federal hydrashocks hollowpoints) and thats either of my two (.357 magnum or .40 S&W)

And third, even if your bullets didnt go thru a vest, it will still knock you down and save a life or two, or allow you to run up and blast him in the dome

a lot of vest now days will stop that down to a nasty bruise maybe broken rib.

that being said I can drop a mag in 7 seconds center mass, I can how ever NOT take out a head shot in the dark with my eyes burning and panic people around. Let alone the fact you would be an instant target the minute you stand up gun drawn. So add in .1 second time to react.

A gun is always your LAST line of defense, and that is after running. What would you do if you miss and take out some one else?

I have laser grips on my 1911 and night sites and a **** ton more experience then most do with my firearm, and even then I doubt my ability to pull that shot off. Put down the action movies and go try it out side with a non stationary target see how good you really are.

I guess the primary question is this: Did the shooter get his intended victim? You will never convince me anyone geared up like that and executed a terrorist attack without a target in mind...This whole deal stinks.

And yes, I still hold to the thought that if the terrorist knew there was a possibility of many armed individuals in that dark room. it might have been averted.

But consider this,that guy was hired by the govt ,drugged and brainwashed to go in and murder

I noticed a few things

1) only one pic of the shooter,no take down vids or asst other pics of him

2) the media were primed and ready and went on and on about banning guns and where he bought his guns and how the FBI found all this **** at the perps house

3) UN treaty going on right now as we speak,they are Oblamo wants to join the UN and ban guns,this will surly give eveil doers like our govt the ammunition they need

to say BAN GUNS.......Well I promise you the shooter or any bad guy does not give a fk about a banned gun,however he does favor an unarmed victim

Well said! That's my concern with people carrying guns any and everywhere, a lot of them aren't properly trained and they think because they have a gun it can solve any situation they need it to. Its just not realistic. You're getting mugged in a dark ally all alone. Yeah, you could probably shoot and defend yourself. But in a crowded movie theater with hundreds of panicked people running around...the last thing that's needed is more bullets flying around. Especially from some untrained wanna be movie hero..
