Another redundant comparison

Wanting a single 10" sub for audiophile. Deciding between a JL w3v3 or Infinity perfect 10vq. No more than 500 watts will be pushed to either sub off of a RF punch mono amp. I listen to all types of music, all at SQ. My vehicle is a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer. Price is no issue.

JL w3v3 is not an SQ driver, by far.

Your options for 200-600 RMS are:

Infinity Kappa Perfect DVQ/VQ(400 RMS)

JL Audio W6v2 (600 RMS)

Rainbow Amboss (300 RMS)

RE Audio SE (600 RMS)

IDQV3 (500 RMS)

Boston G5 (450 RMS)

Morel Elate SW (200 RMS)

Focal 25A1 (250 RMS)

The IDQ is most definitely NOT an SPL sub. lol Its a SQ driver through and through.

I think a lot of people would disagree, including myself. The w3v3 is a very good sounding sub, BUT, that's not to say that there aren't better for the price.... cause there are.

I'm leaning towards the Infinity. Seems a little more difficult to get the Rainbow amboss.

Mind if i ask why in the hell do you just 1 10" in a trailblazer. Get a really super SQ 15" or pair of 12"S or something.

I haven't had any experiance with any of the 3, but from what I've read/heard, the Morel and Rainbow hold a VERY strong reputation for SQ. I would choose Morel or Rainbow over infinity ANY DAY, you can't put infinity in the same class.

BTW, woofersetc.com has Rainbow and Morel in stock.

if you wanna go with the w3, go with the v2. That version was much more on a sq driver then the new w3v3

It just depends on power, and application. Other then that it's your choice. you won't be dissapointed with either.
