another "help me pick out some subs" thread.

I have 6K watts and a 12 cube box tuned to 34hz. I had three re sx 15's in the box, and they slammed HARD! Only problem is that they'd get a little smelly when I really leaned on 'em. (which was all day - every day, lol!).

So I sold the sx's ( two of 'em anyway), and now I need three new 15's for my setup. Obviously I'd like to be louder than before, but my main concern is that they'd handle 2K each of constant abuse.

I'm really open to any sub and any manufacturer. I just don't wanna buy from a company that may not be around much longer (i.e. audiopulse) or buy any hard-to-find subs like tc-5200 or treo ssx's. In other words, the company should be reliable AND have the subs in stock (cough cough, audioque).

So............. what would be the absolute loudest (in your humble opinions , of course) three 15's for me and my budget (no real budget, but nothing too crazy. Let's say under $5-600 each)? Fi Btl's? DC lv5's? RD Alpha v2's? Atomic Ele's? Hypnotic Divini's? IA DP's? RE MX's? CV Stroker pro's? - just to throw out some names. What am i missing? -need dual 2 btw...

I can vouch for memphis mojo's warranty.. I bought two from a dealer when i had the funds to not worry about cost, and any problems i've had they've been replaced for 25 dollars a piece. I had a car accident, where a speaker was physically damaged and they gave me a brand new cartridge and magnet. They are for SPL, I would not recommend them for a SQ setup.. but i'm happy, thats all i can say.

But do I really need it fully loaded with 2k watts to it? Probably be a waste of $?

good advice... do you think the dd's will like 34hz tuning though? or the hdc3 for that matter?

You shouldn't need any options for 2k on the BTL. I'd either go with the BTL or the IA DP's, but the DP's probably won't like 2k daily... at least I don't think.
