this is a theoritical quesiton. say you have 2 amps, both put out 500 watts RMS. only one does it @ 4 ohm, and one @ 2 ohm. is there a difference in sound quality? assuming the same subs are used and only the ohm rating for the sub is varried?

If the design is solid, and the amp is operating properly and installed properly, there should be absolutely no audible difference between them.

There are no stupid questions, be thankful you are willing to ask such things, some are too afraid to ask and always go on unknowing.

As for the question i don't see why the difference would be audible.

don't be afraid to ask questions tho. but if you ever think that your question might have been asked a million times (and this one hasnt been, its a really good question) dont hesitate to use the search button. peace.
