another port question

i am putting a memphis 15 in the extended cab portion of my truck. I have a 95 chevy k1500 extended cab, I also have a newborn due in Sept. I want to use the entire floor as a box ( with the seat down ) and mabye build the box a little higher on one side to account for the mounting depth. My ques is how much port and the placement of the port. I am not sure which port ( circle or Squared ) would be better, or the deminsions of the port. Any help in this matter would be greatly appriciated. The sub will be firing downward , unless you guys suggest different.

aprox deminsions are 55 wide x 14.5 deep x 6.5 tall ( except on the sub side )

Nissan i have seen in other post that you have posted that you have skills in this area. AND (I will not argue if you give any advice). would you design me a box ported with the deminsions that are 55" wide x 15" deep x 6.5" tall.... adding 3.5 incheson the sub end ( to accomidate for the mounting deepth of the sub).

see if you can downfire the sub. Depending on subwoofer picked it does not have to be ported...

.. You really don't need ported, But i'll attempt to come to out with a ported enclosure also ( same specs )

Also, which memphis sub is it???

Power Reference, M-Class, or Street Edge???

... If it's any higher than the M-Class, it's can't be done.

yes very tight.... thanks for your imput. what are the post deminsions ? and what are the benifits of firing the port toward the end of the box? ( instead of firing it up towards the top of the cab? It's a personal reference...

... Some like slot, squared ports... some like the usually less resistant circle ports...

You want the port as far away from the sub...

on a 1 - 10 box builder i am a 6.5 or 7. i am sure i could do A square port but i think the circle port would be easier. i am just needing the specs and where to place it in the box. ( from your drawlings i am assuming that is a port opening on the end )? OH YEA THE SUB IS A POWER PREFERENCE. I like alot of the lower notes ( thats why i chose a 15 and a ported box).
