another peel and seal question

im gonna buy a bunch of this stuff real soon from http://www.rwc.org/u/web/rwcorg/cgi-local/catalog.cgi

now the aluminum is noticeably more expensive, im sure for good reason when being used for its purpose on roofs. but for purpose of deadening, what about the black sanded or the tan stuff. I mean the smooth black is like 60$ for 200sq ft of it? is it messy or somthing? i dont intend to use it under the hood at all

imo, just buy the aluminum coated one....its like 70 bucks for 100sq feet....the black one your talkin bout is prob only the sticky adhesive part,,,no coating so both sides would most likly be sticky...
