Another newb with some Kicker L7's

no ive got a bx1206d on each L7 and yeah they are 12's

the orion 2500d would be niice, but you may need to upgrade the alternator...

and yea my boat only has about 13v while running if im lucky

Do you have dual 2ohm or dual 4ohm L7's? I'm wondering because I'd like to know if your subs are seeing 900 watts at 2ohms or 1200 watts at 1ohm.

Either way, they must pound!

Am I right to assume that my problem with clarity at higher volume has basically everything to do with underpowering my L7's?

they're dual 2's running the amps at 1ohm ftw

and most likely... you'll def gain a lot with bigger amp(s)

Thanks - I checked that out. Not sure if I'm sold on the Hifonics. The price point certainly is nice though. Thanks for the link.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Mmats d2000.1? One went on eBay a couple of days ago for $251.

I run my zx1000.1 at 1 ohm daily (probably a bit more than that with box rise), and it takes it like a champ. Puts out clean power everyday, whether it's 13 degrees or 93 degrees (Michigan weather).

Even a 5 year warranty. If it got wet, make up a story and send it in for repairs.

I'll have to look that one up. Are you suggesting that amp to run each sub, or 1 amp to run both subs?
