um. that was a retarded comment.
apparently you know nothing about the idmax. so please dont respond.
the idmax should get loud, it will have a smooth rolloff in a sealed box, so it shuld be able to hit low notes with the sacrafice of volume as the notes get close to 20hz. the upper extension depends mostly on the LPF on the amp.
there is no reference that i could get you to explain how loud it SHOULD get. other than decibles. i would say that it should be able to produce 135~138 on a termlab. but that is a guess.
if i were you, before i go and buy another idmax, i would build a ported box for it and see if that is the gain in SPL you are looking for.

as you can see ported will yield quite a bump in SPL, on this graph - its about 5db versus sealed with a little sacrifice in SQ, however most people dont notice the lack of sound quality.
also, be aware that with the advent of a bass reflex enclosure, you will need (or should) use a subsonic filter, wich is just a highpass filter set at the tuning frequency of the enclosure (lets say ~35hz). and that ported boxes are more efficent - so you should also turn the gain down just a little bit to give the sub a break, as more power is not needed in this application //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
hope that helps. and if it does not solve your problem... you can always get another idmax //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
