would it be weird if i said i knew someone who almost had that happen??!! A guy around here hit a deer and its rear 1/2 got stuck in the windshield, and in an attempt to kick itself free it repeatedly kickd him in the face, chest, etc...luckily he did live despite the injuries, but ****, talk about bad luck.

And we use all the meat..We go through 7-8 deer a year...

Have deep freezers at both houses just for deer..

I use ground deer meat in place of ground beef...

I am majoring in wildlife management..

I know a thing or two about managing deer..

On public land, you reap no benefit from it.

On the clubs we hunt, we do pass up young 8-points and such..And cull out 2-3 year old bucks that don't have as much potential..

This deer was at least 4 1/2 years old..Any buck that old is a trophy..

You age deer by their teeth....At each age they show specific signs of wear...Once they reach 4 1/2 the "crest" on the mid teeth dissipate. This buck definitely had lost his crest..

And for a buck to reach a 5" circumference at his base, he has SEVERAL years on him.
