Got this deer on 12/19 at 9:50 AM.. Only deer I saw the entire morning.. Fell to my Tikka T3 Lite in .300WSM.

20 1/2" beams

5" and 5 1/8" bases

14 1/2" spread

Rough scores 122"..

And I took him on public land.

Second best buck to date, and heaviest horned I have killed.Also probably the oldest. To compare, my dad has killed over 200 bucks, and hasn't killed one with 5" bases yet..

I have had one hell of a season, and its not even over.

Mississippi has one of the longest seasons in the U.S..

Bow season opens up Oct 1..

Gun season opened up Nov 17 for 2 weekends.

Then it switches to a primitive weapon season for 2 weeks..

And finally back to gun season till the 2nd week in January..

Then there is another 2 week primitive weapon season..

So really ,I have a month of hunting left..

I am about to start taking my bow more again.
