I can't speak for the OP, but I was offered very generous compensation to work as an engineer at a chemical weapons demilitarization facility in Iraq. More than double what a comparable job would pay here in the US, plus all living expenses were taken care of and they grossed up your pay to handle the taxes (if any?) that might have applied.Do you make pretty good money working in a combat zone? Even though you are not a DoD civilian/military, is it still fed tax free?
