Another Enclosure Question

but not as easy as "Which is better, plywood or mdf?"

I am planning on making 2 fiberglass enclosures for my Forester for 2 12" Aliantes. This is my first venture into fiberglass (might as well set the bar high..) and am going to try to make something similar to the JL Stealthbox that I had in my 2000 4Runner in design (only for both sides).

My question is how does one make the top bend like the JL? If I could take some blocks of florists foam and glue them together, then carve them to the curves I want and then glass over that, it would be ideal but something tells me that the foam would be dissolved by the glass quickly.

Ideas?

Sorry...

the driver would be a 12" (the pic is a 10) and would be a bit lower and tilted towards the back instead of facing directly to the other side of the vehicle.

The only thing that even comes close in all those links (someday, the mods should go through that since a large number of those links are doa..) is this..

and that is not nearly curved enough.. I think I am going to do the florists foam, take pics of that and then ask.. I have it in my head but can't really explain it and I am sure that none of the visable curves are concave..they are all convex.
