Another dual battery question

agm batteries have a lower esr than a wet cell by far3-6 miliohms vs 18-20. do the big 3 (if not done already) and get a kinetik 2000-2400 under the hood

so this yellow top wont help with anything? why do i doubt that? im not saying you are wrong or anything but just with the way im thinking about it why wont a second battery help the voltage drops?

you need to do the big 3 and i would get a battery with more capacity(the kinetik is a higher capacity same size per same sized battery) than a yellow top especially if you cant go bigger on the alt.

ok i know its been beaten to death but i searched and cant find the answers i need for my application.
my light dim real bad and i can tget a H/O alt for my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif so im just gonna run a second battery. what battery should i use? yellow top? what size? also how would i wire it? just run a run of 1/0 back from pos to pos and thne make a 1/0 ground on front battery and rear battery? whgats this battery isolator i hear about all the time?

is there anything im missing bassicially? any help or input would be appreciated looking to do this before i kill my alt which is a 80 or 90 amp:uhoh:

if you run the stereo with the car off use an isolator if not its not needed. What you can afford and fit you should go with. positive to positive negative to negative. If you have plenty of room a kinetiks 2400 or NSB90 is a good choice if not a YT 34/78 or kinetiks 1400. I have no room under my hood so I run stock under the hood and a 34 in the rear. I plan on seeing if i can get the YT under the hoos and either 2 more yt34s in the trunk or maybe a couple NSB90s

ohh and to those who say a battery wont help bullshit. It isnt the optimum thing but sorry to tell you running a 2nd battery will help voltage drop just try to run strapped amps or a 40.1 on a single batter down to .35ohms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif it will clip due to voltage drop. Second battery will keep it from dropping below 12v on a burp.

aright thanks nv, where can i get an isolator at? so the 34 will be fine? i am gonn ahave to find someone to re wind my stock alt to get higher amps but fo rnow im just gonna add the second bat and re run my big 3 with 1/0 instead of 4 guage

34 optima is good for about 1200-1500 watts as it has 55 aH capacity where the kinetik 1800 has 81 aH of capacity. the extra battery wont mean as much if you dont do the big 3.

aright thats good because im only running about 1500 watts to 1700 and if need be i will move the yellow top up front because that what class my front batt is and get a kinetik in back when i get some more cash flow
