personally, I would have only rounded one wall of the port, so the box was externally still a rectangle...

its a simple ported box, done up fancy... it doesn't make it any different to a "normal" slot ported box...

its like painting a toyota camry, in colour changing paint... its still a camry!!!

well what should he have done? use straws for ports? heres a hint.... theres not a whole lot that hasn't been done before. i have yet to see one thing out of you that impresses me.
