Okay guys I know you all are tired of this. I read through like 10+ threads before making this because I am tired //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif ... I am going to be upgrading the big three for my 200A H/o alt... I am wondering if 4 ga. will be ok and also if fusing 4 ga. wire with 250 ANL fuses is too much (melt wires). I believe I read that it is a little much since 1/0 uses 200-300... I will be using 250's for my 2 awg. to the amps but Please advise on the wiring for the big three and what size fuse. As of right now I was going to use 4 gauge wire with a 250anl fuse.

The amount of current a wire can handle is dependant on thickness and length.

The amount of fusing required is dependant on the amount of current the wire can handle.
