Another age old question-Single or Duals

I'm redoing my entire system with the only items left to purchase are the subs and enclosure.

Is it worth the extra cost for me to go with a dual sub set up?

I presently have a single Rockford Fosgate HE 10" in a sealed 1cf enclosure that I think sounds nice but am going to replace the sub because when connected to the MTX 2160 bridged, it distorts.

This will be going in a '01 Ext cab Ranger. I'm not looking for sub recommendations

just opinions on Single or Dual?

I appreciate your input.

Infinity 6x8 2-ways - rear

MTX 2 ch 2160 bridged sub amp

Depends on the sub(s) and what type of sound and output you desire.

A single "supersub" or a decent sub in a ported enclosure will get loud enough for most people.

If you're the type of person who thinks they need to hit 150db with music while driving around.....then no, a single sub probably won't be enough for you.

I could care less what it sounds like outside my vehicle, I'm not trying to impress anyone but myself. What I'm looking for is a bit more clean tight bass (that's why I like sealed) than I have now.

Thanks guys , anyone else?
