Another 2006 Escalade Question

Ok, so I cant really take out the GPS system in the escalade, because it is connected to the engine and onstar somehow for diagnosis. Anyway, Is there anyway to install a direct line to an ipod or external music adapter without disabling the CD changer? Everyone tells me the only way is to take out he CD changer and thats my only option unless i switch deck systems. I really hope there is another way
