Annoying engine sound.... how do you get rid of it

Good evening everybody,

I am getting frustrated with my system for my car. Currently I have:

2 subs (1500 W each)

8 Infinity speakers (300 W each)

4 horns (1000 W each)

2 tweeters (400 W each)

2 (475 a) amps

and 1 (3000 a) amp

As I have learned, apparently the person who i paid to set it up and make my system good did not do it right. At this point in time I have a loud engine whine that increases every time i step on my gas pedal. I have been to three professionals and they have all said different things. One i even paid to check and put more grounds in. I now have three instead of one ground. The other two say it is the amps and i need to replace them.

I am in need of help. If anyone has any knowledge about this problem and has a solution I would appreciate the help. I have a feeling I will need to replace the amps anyway. If you can recommend a great amp let me know. Or even if you know a good mechanic or place where i can go to get it checked out. Keep in mind i live in CT.

Thank you for help.

Looking forward to hear from everyone.

I know walmart sells this ground noise interfierince thing thats supposed to take out that noise. You can find it in the audio section, its made by Schoche maby try that? I had a firebird that had that problem. It was wierd though because it was justr there for a week and then it was gone.

Sounds like the RCA's to the amps and the power wires are ran side by side. Just pull one or the other and make sure they run across the opposite side of the car from each other. In the event they must cross, always make sure it's for as short a distance as possible, and if possible try to put one or both in conduit protection (pvc etc).

Should fix your problem. If you can't re-run one of the sets, try the pvc route since it's a cheap/easy fix.

I would also recommend one of those ground noise RCA things. They really work, I was having the same problem with the whining. Once i got one of those all the whining and engine noise where gone.

I would recommend buying it on Ebay though because it is cheaper there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i run all my rcas together and had noise problems. grounding my rcas to my headunit fixed all of it. if youre getting engine whine that would not be from running the rcas together. thats a ground loop. I promise if you wrap some wire around your rcas and tap the other end to the chassis of the radio it will go away at once.

Or dont fucking listen.
God I hate help threads run by idiots
he's not the OP. and grounding rca's doesn't magically fix whine in all cases, so simmer down because you can't "guarantee" anything.
