Angled straight port

My box need a 14x3 inch port. I dont have the 14 + 3 inch of clearance depth in my box. Is it ok to run the port in the box in an angle like horizoantaly or is it better to use a 45 degree l connector? Its for an IDQ 12. I dont have flared ends but port noise probably wont be noticable since its in the trunk of a sedan. Or will it? I dont know this is my first ported box

like stated in the post a few down from your with the same exact question use a pvc elbow and flare the ends cause you will have port noise.

a very airy farting sound. chuffing is a word some people use to describe it also

I think it sounds more like a queef //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif and a 90degree angle isnt gonna cause more noticable port noise than a 45 degree because the elbows are rounded angles. The noise is mainly coming from non rounded ends and hard corners.

Hey tyroneshoes, How did the box turnout? was there any port noise and how is the 12 hittin in that box? I have a IDQ12 in a sealed box(sounds good) in my trunk and I'm about to have the ID spec ported(more output) @30hz. box built. I see by your port lenth you have yours tuned to 30hz also.

hes got like a week and a half before its two years old...
