an overall SQ upgrade.

when i buy components, do i buy everything seperate, or when i buy components does it come with the x-overs, mids, and tweets.
Everything comes together, or you can buy seperately, esp if you're going active.

but is there any way i can just run mids and tweets off the stock speakerwire i have now, with no x-overs and amps?
Bad Idea

I guess it wouldnt be too bad if i just had to buy 2 mids, 2 tweeters, and maybe the q-logic kick panels. Now if i were to do that, would i just disconnect the speakers in my doors? or do i still use those.
no get rid of your factory speakers they are worthless and once again, buy a used comp system that has crossovers. I'll sell you mine when noah sells his.

should i just put components in the two front doors, or all four.

So what im looking at is mids, tweets, x-overs, an amp and a buttload of wires . that seems like it will be pretty expensive and hard to install.

I just found this set.

power acoustik XP2K-60C. they would fit in my doors, i just need to cut holes for the tweets. The question i have is do i need an amp? or can i just run it off head unit power.

i want it to sound good, but im not a perfectionist. Im just looking for a setup better then stock, and everyone is trying to turn me off just replacing my stock speakers with like kenwood or pioneer speekers.

so its eather some kenwood or pioneer 6.5's, or an ampless component set.

You WERE going to spend $100 on shitty pioneer speakers earlier in this thread? So $200 for fronts and rears...

SO WTF, you can get the REcomponents and a profile cl400 for LESS than $200. peace

not sure if your jeep is different then mine, but mine has tweeters in the dash and 6.5's in the door. wiring components is not hard. i'm telling you pioneer and kenwood speakers aren't going to be much better then what you have. my stock infinity sounded better then any pioneer coaxil i've listened to imo. if you go with coaxils, go with the cdt's mentioned above.

those were primarily an expample, but yes 200 is around my price range.

if i were to buy the REcomponents and a profile cl400, would that be enough speakers for 4 doors, or does it just come with two speakers. also, wire would cost alot too, its another amp kit pretty much.

you only need 1 set. don't even worry about your rear doors. bridge the amp to the 1 set of components.

alright i may just do that.

why not just get a 2 channel amp?

what about power acoustik components. I know they probably arent as good as the RE audio ones, but they are really cheap. are they decent components?

also, whats different about installing components.i know how to install the speakers and amps, but do you put the x-overs in between the connection of the amp and speaker or what.

thanks again

yea a 2-channel will work. you take the main speaker wire from your amp into the crossover for each side. then from each crossover you attach each mid and tweeter.
