Amplifier Help

So I bought and installed a Boss Audio R1100M monoblock amplifier and it says it pumps out 250w x 1 at 4 ohms and 1100w x 1 at 2 ohms. I already have an enclosure for a 12 inch sub and i was wondering exactly what specs i should be looking for in a sub to get the maximum effect. Also I have no idea what the x1 means after the wattage... Anyhoos, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The x1 mean 1 channel so 1100 watts into 1 mono channel. For a sub stay with boss and get an L12,it sounds decent in a 1cf sealed box.

That amp prob put out 250-300rms TOPS at 2ohm. Find a dvc 4ohm sub or a svc 2ohm sub that's in that power range.
